Aster, Prairie (Machaeranthera tanacetifolia)
Prairie Aster, also known as Tahoka Daisy, is a winter annual and commonly found in the Great Plains and Southwestern regions of the U.S. Prairie Aster reseeds readily and will colonize disturbed or over-grazed sites quickly. It grows best in sandy or well-drained soils. It blooms from summer into fall and attracts honey bees, wild bees and other pollinators.
